The full form of CET is Common Eligibility Test & this exam is conducted by National Recruitment Agency. This agency is a part of Central Recruitment Agency.
What is CET- National Recruitment Agency
Earlier, Railway, Banking and SSC used to conduct separate exams for the candidates and they used to handle all the arrangements related to that exam separately, but now the central government has combined all and made a new exam which is controlled by the National Recruitment Agency and the name of that exam is CET i.e. now the exam of SSC, Banking and Railway has been given a common name of CET (Common Eligibility Test) That means now Railway, Banking and SSC candidates will have to appear in only one exam which is called CET. This exam has been implemented from 2021 and this exam is applicable only for Bank, SSC and Railway. The pattern of the exam has been designed in such a way that questions of all three railway SSC and banking can be asked.
CET Exam Pattern- National Recruitment Agency
Its exam will be conducted twice a year from 2020-2021.This exam is conducted online. The candidate who clears this exam will be deemed to have qualified the pre-exam of Railway, Banking and SSC i.e. Clearing the CET exam indicates that you have cleared all the three pre exam of Railway, Banking and SSC. There will be facility of more than one thousand exam centers to conduct the exam. There will be multiple choice questions in this exam. Earlier the examinations were conducted in Hindi and English language, but now there are 22 languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, out of which this examination is conducted in 12 languages.
Type Of CET Exam
There are three types of CET Exam i.e. Tenth, Twelfth and Graduation Level. Suppose you have given 10th level CET exam and you have qualified this exam that means you have qualified pre exam of MTS exam but you can not fill the form of LDC because to fill LDC form, you have to qualify as 12th level CET exam. It is necessary to qualify CET exam. Similarly, to fill the form of CGL, one has to qualify the CET exam of graduation level.
Whatever you score in this exam will be taken as cutoff in the upcoming exam. Suppose railway form is coming and to fill it it is necessary to have 70 marks but you have scored 60 marks in CET exam then you will not be able to fill this form whereas if 50 marks is cutoff for banking form Then you will be able to fill the banking form. The chance for the candidate to appear in the CET exam is unlimited. Candidates can appear for CET as many times as they want according to their age limit. The mains examination will be conducted by Railways, Banking and SSC separately and there will be no change in their examination pattern and syllabus.
